Koenig Advertising Public Relations, a full service marketing and communications company, promoted the Holiday Spirit for two weeks in December 2008 when they coordinated the Sirius XM satellite radio airing of “Bing Crosby Christmas Radio”, featuring Bing’s holiday radio programs from the 1940s and 1950s.As publicist for Bing Crosby Enterprises, Koenig’s Judy Schmid created an electronic media kit that first attracted Sirius. She then met with network producers to discuss a potential partnership between Bing Crosby Enterprises and Sirius XM and provided content and background information on the programs.

The programs, introduced by Bing’s family – widow Kathryn and children Harry, Mary, and Nathaniel – were hosted by television personality Regis Philbin. Response from listeners was tremendous and plans are in the works for next year’s airing.

Koenig also coordinated the 18-month-old series, “The Original Bing Crosby Radio Programs” for Sirius XM Channel 4, which airs Sunday and Wednesday evenings
