Friday, September 4, 2009

Koenig Advertising Public Relations, a full service marketing and communications company, created and placed advertising for this year’s Shakespeare-in-the-Park production of “The Tempest”, which ran for eight performances over two weeks in August at Thornden Park’s amphitheater. An all-time record attendance of 2,700 saw the play over its run.Koenig designed a billboard and poster, and a television and radio commercial for the campaign. The campaign theme was, “The Tempest: Shakespeare’s Most Magical Play. Bard None.”

Producing Artistic Director of the Syracuse Shakespeare Festival Ronnie Bell said, “This was our most successful year yet bringing the magic of William Shakespeare to the Syracuse audience. Koenig Advertising Public Relations played a key role in establishing our creative message and boosting our attendance to record levels. We greatly appreciate the special funding received from a Central New York Community Foundation PACE grant, which supported these efforts. “

Located in Syracuse’s historic Armory Square, Koenig Advertising Public Relations (www.koenig-adpr.com) has served a wide range of commercial, government and not-for-profit clients since 1988.
