Maura Koenig is a creative force. She brings energy, enthusiasm, fun and a sense of mission to help Jewish organizations optimize their educational/holiday programs, events, fundraisers, promotions, social media and more!

Maura brings a passion for Judaism and Israel to everything she does. More than that, Maura’s background as synagogue education director (Scarsdale Synagogue Temples Tremont and Emanu-El), programming director (Jewish National Fund), and social media consultant (Birthright) gives her a deep understanding of the workings and needs of the Jewish world she serves.

A lover of contemporary Jewish culture with a true talent for engaging young children, teens, college students and millennials, Maura spent summers at camp (URJ Eisner Camp) as camper, counselor, both participant and counselor on the NFTY Israel trip and development staff.

As a Birthright Israel Fellow, she leads trips twice a year.  She has taught Hebrew School (Temple Emmanuel) and recently traveled to India with JDC Entwine to interact with children in Mumbai.  She was so moved, on her return she raised $15,000 for their programs and is currently communications consultant for Sundara, another Jewish organization helping India’s youth and empowering women.

Maura’s network is expansive, regularly working with rabbis, cantors, lay leaders, and marketing and creative professionals.  She attends and has helped promote Jewish camp for adults (Trybal Gatherings), has taught millennials about Jewish rituals (One Table) and often hosts Shabbat dinners.

Tech savvy, Maura uses social media to promote events on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and is proficient with e-mail marketing software where she has created e-newsletters and promotional pieces as well.
